Designated Funds and Special Grants
Weinberg College offers a number of special research scholarships, fellowships, and grants to Weinberg undergraduates. These special awards are made possible through the generosity of alumni donors.Weinberg special research awards include:

Katherine L. Krieghbaum Scholarships
This fund supports independent research projects of rising seniors in preparation for writing a senior thesis.
Herskovits Undergraduate Fellowship Program
This program provides funding for research involving use of Northwestern’s renowned Africana collection. These fellowships are administered by Weinberg College’s undergraduate program, the Program of African Studies, and the Melville J. Herskovits Library of African Studies. Lane Environmental Studies Grants
These grants provide funding for research on environmental issues. Sion Asia-related Research Grants
These grants provide funding for research on Asia-related topics. Radulovacki Global Health Research Grants
The Radulovacki Scholars Program for Global Health Research is designed to create public health research opportunities for Weinberg College undergraduates. Awards are based on quality of the research proposal, relevant previous experience, and academic merit. This fellowship, administered by the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, funds strong, well-prepared, and creative projects for Weinberg students only.
